Job Summary

The Test Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the testing process throughout the project lifecycle and helps to define the QA strategy and approach for all the company’s digital products. The Test Engineer will lead the manual testers and work closely with product owners and developers.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as the key point of contact for testing aspects of releases and coordinate testers

  • Analyse requirements and technical specifications and prepare an appropriate testing process
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Design, write, execute and review reusable test specifications covering Integration, End-to-end and Non-functional areas
  • Create comprehensive and reusable test artifacts such as test cases, scenarios, steps and data
  • Report any bugs/issues identified and provide feedback to the development team
  • Set up, prepare and maintain test plans
  • Measure and report on test activity, produce test summary reports
  • Conduct reviews with senior project stakeholders to evaluate the quality of software
  • Work closely with the product owners to ensure the right version of the software with appropriate configuration gets released

What we are looking for:

  • Passionate about testing/breaking software
  • Very good English skills
  • 6+ years experience in testing
  • Logical thinker and able to adapt easily
  • Strong technical skills and background
  • Good experience with test management and issue-tracking tools (we use Jira X-Ray)
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and work well within a cohesive team
  • ISEB/ISTQB certified

Skills that will help you in the role

  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Experience of breaking down user stories and acceptance criteria using test design techniques
  • Agile testing practices knowledge
  • Experience with Laravel Dusk, Cucumber/Selenium or other test automation tools
  • Git knowledge
